One of EDND’s key goals is to provide professional development opportunities for economic developers and related businesses. EDND hosts a Summer Conference in June and a Fall Conference in October each year. Each conference also features a preconference Basic Training Module to cover foundational topics such as finance, incentive programs and economic development marketing.

New Professionals Day and Economic Development Roundtable

New Professionals Day and the biannual Economic Development Roundtable will provide those keenly interested in economic development issues with an opportunity to learn more about the Department of Commerce. The Commerce team and partners will meet with attendees to discuss their needs and interests and how Commerce programs and services may help their efforts.

New Professional’s Day is scheduled 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and will be an overview of all the programs that Commerce has to offer. The roundtable is scheduled 1-4 p.m. and will be a group discussion on current topics, trends and program changes that affect economic development on the local level. Both events will be held at the Department of Commerce, 1600 E. Century Ave., Ste. 2, Bismarck.
